Known as 'Shiva's Lake', Kedartal is a high-altitude glacial lake located at 15,480 feet in Gangotri National Park. It is one of the most rewarding high-altitude treks in Garhwal.

The crystal clear turquoise waters of Kedartal reflect the sheer vertical face of Thalay Sagar (6,904 m), Bhrigupanth, and Gangotri group of peaks.
2. Trail Difficulty & Terrain
The trail involves steep ascents over rocky scree, narrow ridges like Spider Wall, and boulder hopping. Good physical stamina and high altitude experience are strongly advised.
3. Best Season to Visit
Late May to June and September to October offer clear skies and stable trail conditions.
