Expedition Itinerary
Day 1: Dehradun to Gangotri (240 km / 8–9 hrs)
Morning pickup in Dehradun. Scenic drive via Uttarkashi to Gangotri (3,048m).
Day 2: Gangotri Acclimatization Hike
Acclimatization day walk in Gangotri valley.
Day 3: Gangotri to Nala Camp (8 km / 5 hrs)
Trek along Rudugaira river gorge into forest.
Day 4: Nala Camp to Rudugaira Base Camp (4,350m) (7 km / 4 hrs)
Ascend past alpine pastures to base camp.
Day 5: Rudugaira Base Camp Acclimatization
Acclimatization hike to high ridge looking over Auden's Col.
Day 6: Load Ferry to Glacier High Camp
Carry technical snow gear to upper glacier camp.
Day 7: Rudugaira Base to Gangotri Glacier Camp (6 km / 4 hrs)
Traverse lateral moraine onto Gangotri glacier.
Day 8: Glacier Camp to Auden's Col High Camp (5,000m) (5 km / 4 hrs)
Set up high camp beneath pass snout.
Day 9: AUDEN'S COL PASS CROSSING (5,490m) & Khatling Glacier (7 km / 8 hrs)
Rope up to cross Auden's Col pass (5,490m). Descend 70-degree ice wall onto crevassed Khatling Glacier.
Day 10: Khatling Glacier Moraine Traverse (9 km / 6 hrs)
Navigate massive glacial boulder fields and crevasses.
Day 11: Khatling Glacier to Chowki Campsite (10 km / 5 hrs)
Exit glacier onto grassy riverbanks of Chowki.
Day 12: Chowki to Gangi Village (16 km / 6 hrs)
Trek down Bhilangana valley into remote Gangi village.
Day 13: Gangi to Ghuttu Roadhead (12 km / 5 hrs)
Finish trek at Ghuttu roadhead.
Day 14: Ghuttu to Dehradun (190 km / 7 hrs)
Return vehicle transfer to Dehradun.
